Sheryl Leventhal, MD
I am a former oncologist currently practicing Functional Medicine, a branch of medicine that uses nutritional science and biochemistry to holistically approach wellness and disease. In my practice, I explore the genetic and environmental factors that influence wellness - from complex diseases such as cancer and Lyme Disease to chronic illnesses such as fatigue and Crohn's disease. The blog is meant to complement the information I give my patients and to address the environmental conditions that make us sick! When I am not seeing patients, I enjoy playing tennis, pilates, cooking and spending time with my husband and two boys.
